The Concept

An exhibition inspired by biblical animals from the artists behind the previous “Come Eat With Me” exhibition in 2024

This second exhibition presented by Spirit Arts and was inspired by Claire Shackleton's painting of a Dragonfly which has been included in this exhibition.
Seeing the Dragonfly inspired Jane Furst to celebrate Spirit Animals, specifically ones mentioned in the Bible.

Jane gained the collaboration of the founder Elizabeth Mellen and local artist Janice Emmott and with over 20 artists contributing this is once again they have created a beautiful array of art.

This exhibition from Spirit Arts draws on the rich symbolism of Animals in the Bible. Around 140 different animals can be found in the Bible. 40 of these have been selected by Jane Furst as the Lead Artist.

Similarly to its predecessor Come Eat with Me, this exhibition also takes the form of roundel portraits, embellished with gold-leaf.

The 20 artists taking part in the Spirit Animals in the Bible exhibition, have each interpreted an animal of their own choice and the diversity of creatures and variety of mediums used is exciting.
